Wandsworth Borough Council Field Trial
PyroPure Ltd has joined forces with Wandsworth Borough Council to field trial a PyroPure^® system specially designed to destroy residential waste at the point it is created in their council owned apartment blocks.

Two PyroPure^® units have been installed in the waste chamber of a high rise apartment block with 56 flats. The waste is deposited by residents via a pre-existing chute system on each floor. The waste then drops down the chute into the waste chamber and will be automatically fed into the waiting PyroPure^® units.

Materials handling equipment has been installed and tested and trials of the full system are planned in 2009.
