Wandsworth tests

PyroPure Ltd has completed a one month trial of the PyroPure^® system in a block of 56 apartments in the London Borough of Wandsworth. The residents continued to empty their non-recyclable waste into the chute as normal but instead of this waste falling into paladins in the basement and being collected for landfill it was intercepted by an automatic handling system and transferred into two PyroPure^® units. These units converted it cleanly into a small quantity of ash that could be pumped into the sewer. This first fully automated trial of PyroPure^® was carried out in collaboration with Wandsworth Borough Council and with the agreement of the Environment Agency and Thames Water.
