PyroPure Ltd has WON the 2010 Chartered Institute of Waste Management Environmental Excellence Award in the category 'Innovative Practice' in conjunction with Wandsworth Borough Council. This is for the use of PyroPure to treat waste from apartment blocks and is based on the experience with the trial of the product in Wandsworth. The TV presenter Kate Silverton presented the award to Andrew Hamilton (PyroPure CEO) and Cllr Sarah McDermott (Wandsworth Cabinet Member for the Environment) in front of a packed audience at the Awards Ceremony at the Grosvenor Square Marriott Hotel, London, on 18th November. Representatives from Wandsworth Borough Council and PyroPure Ltd celebrated this success at the event in the company of guests from Curzon Park Capital, QinetiQ, Imperial College and London South Bank University.
