Wandsworth tests
PyroPure Ltd has completed a one month trial of the PyroPure® system in a block of 56 apartments in the London Borough of Wandsworth. The residents continued to empty their non-recyclable waste into the chute as normal but instead of this waste falling into paladins in the basement and being collected for landfill it was intercepted by an automatic handling system and transferred into two PyroPure units. These units converted it cleanly into a small quantity of ash that could be pumped into the sewer. This first fully automated trial of PyroPure® was carried out in collaboration with Wandsworth Borough Council and with the agreement of the Environment Agency and Thames Water. PyroPure Ltd acquires Morgan Everett technology
PyroPure Ltd is a new company that has acquired technology rights from Morgan Everett Ltd and will proceed with the development and marketing of the PyroPure® product range. The operation continues to be based from offices and laboratory facilities near Liss in Hampshire.

ISO 9001:2008
Following the award of the ISO 9001:2000 Quality Management standard in February 2008, the British Accreditation Bureau has now awarded Morgan Everett the updated ISO 9001:2008 standard. Morgan Everett is one of the first companies to be successfully registered under this standard and this reflects the continuing commitment to quality at all levels within the business. PyroPure Ltd is maintaining the processes and standards operated by Morgan Everett Ltd and is arranging for the ISO accredition to be accordingly transferred. View Certificate.

PyroPure® is featuring on Stand N09 at the 'Environment 2009' Conference and Exhibition at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre on 19th - 21st January, an international consulting and business services group that is very active in the region.
Spain
PyroPure® has been installed in Las Palmas, Gran Canaria, in partnership with Sinergia Residuos SL. It is being demonstrated to interested parties including local authorities in the island and even visitors from mainland Spain. Like other island economies, Gran Canaria has limited availability of landfill space, and PyroPure® offers a sustainable alternative way to dispose of residual waste. Its application there is being evaluated during January and February. The demonstration installation can be viewed here.

PyroPure® Exhibition
PyroPure® proved popular at the Recycling and Waste Management Exhibition at the National Exhibition Centre in Birmingham, 16 - 18 September. Thank you to all who visited the stand and to over 100 people who left their details for future contact. PyroPure® for Care Homes
PyroPure® offers an attractive alternative to traditional waste collection for care homes which have to dispose of several types of waste, including incontinence pads, medical and general wastes. The product is well suited to this situation and provides cost savings and improves hygiene. PyroPure Ltd is pleased to announce that the automotive industry charity BEN (http://www.ben.org.uk/html/) has agreed to a 4 - 6 week demonstration of PyroPure® at their Lynwood Nursing Home in Berkshire (See news item for March 2009 for outcome of trial).

Morgan Everett steps up activity with installation of trials equipment in Wandsworth and a demonstration facility at the Sustainability Centre in Hampshire. Discussions are underway with potential commercial partners and PyroPure® will feature in a series of conferences including Southampton City Council’s Big on Energy Conference on 9th June. International opportunities for the product are also under review.

Following an audit of the operation, The British Accreditation Bureau awarded Morgan Everett the internationally recognized ISO 9001 standard for its Quality Management.
